Young architect Max is experiencing burnout. She cannot find her way in the world of large investments, ambitious developers and fierce fight for attractive city plots for new apartment buildings. Especially since it all leads to disintegration of local communities.

She soon discovers a suspicious connection between her workplace and incidents in the neighbourhood and decides to see who is behind them.

Modern cities are changing rapidly. In rush it is easy to overlook that transforming districts of diverse character into artificially constructed places for the wealthy is not what residents - and cities - really need.

When creating her debut comic book, Beata Pytko was inspired by her own experience working in an architectural studio. In Killing Hood she looks at both the gentrification process and the ethical side of the architectural profession in the modern world.
